Arts Umbrella: Because Art Makes Us Better Humans
Founded in 1979 as a non-profit charitable organization, Arts Umbrella has evolved into Canada’s largest multi-disciplinary arts education centre – a dynamic, creative hub, where young people ages 2-22 across Metro Vancouver have the opportunity to cultivate their creativity in Art & Design, Theatre, Music & Film and Dance. Located on Granville Island in the heart of the city, the Arts Umbrella mission is to deliver profound life experiences through arts education inspiring young people to live creative, authentic, and courageous lives.
