Conference Location

The venue

Our conference is held at Arts Umbrella on Granville Island in Vancouver. Doors open at 8:00 am, with vendors and exhibitors set up from the start of the day. Workshop sessions run from 9:15 am to 3:30 pm.

Getting here

By transit. TransLink bus route 50 stops at the entrance to Granville Island. From the Canada Line, Olympic Village and Yaletown–Roundhouse stations are both a short walk or ferry ride away.

By ferry. Aquabus and False Creek Ferries both cross False Creek to Granville Island from downtown, Yaletown, Olympic Village and Kitsilano. It is the most pleasant way to arrive, and often the fastest at peak times.

By car. Arts Umbrella has a multi-level indoor parking lot accessible off Old Bridge Street. Parking elsewhere on Granville Island is limited and paid, and it fills early on weekdays. Please allow extra time, or consider transit or the ferry.

After the conference

Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors plays at 7:30 pm on conference day at the Arts Club’s Lindsay Family Stage, 1585 Johnston Street — a short walk from the venue. See the Evening Show page for details and booking.
